Q. Can you name a few brands of vitamins you trust? – Jay

Q. I read the article about worthless vitamins with interest. Then I searched some local shelves for a good multivitamin (strike 1). Then I searched the internet for a good multivitamin, and I found ones that came close to meeting the vitamin requirements, but contained calcium carbonate, and magnesium oxide. That tells me that manufacturer does not know what they are doing(strike 2). Could you just give us a few names of vitamin brands we can trust that meet all the requirements? If possible I would want to take only one multivitamin pill per day. – Jay

Hi Jay,

Glad to see you’ve been shopping labels as that is the first step to protecting your health. Very disappointing out there isn’t it? Nice shiny labels, but I fear most of these companies spend more on slick marketing than product content.

Here are the names of some of my favorite and most reliable sources. Their product is better designed and from better grade material:

Pure Encapsulations
Douglas Laboratories
Pharmacare
Vinco
DaVinci

There are others that do a fine job but start with these and you’ll find something that suits your needs.

To get quality with a comprehensive mineral content with a good multivitamin you won’t find a “one pill per day” option.

Good Luck!

What about Rainbow Light? I’ve read good things and it is one a day. I would love to get your opinion on it?
