Why Doesn’t Family Listen?

Why Doesn’t Family Listen?

Because of Faith
If the one you love has a little faith, nothing you say will matter, nor should it.

Whether it’s faith in a higher power or faith in the talents of the expert at hand, it’s important not to step on the delicate and valuable power of faith. My sister believed her doctor’s would heal her. That faith carried her spirits through for a long time. The last thing I wanted to do was muddy the waters of a beautiful stream of faith. Walk gently here. Respect the healing power of faith.

Because Maybe You’re Wrong
Gasp!

Lessons Learned
All in all I try to keep things in perspective. Two thoughts keep reoccurring for me.

I once read that it was not our place to decide what another’s purpose is on this earth. It’s not ours to direct. It’s not ours to judge. What of the lifetime alcoholic who during his last days writes a sonnet that inspires generations of poets who came after him? What of the dirty bum who inspires another to organize a charity that grows to support the plight of millions? Did those lives not serve the purpose that was intended?

I also read somewhere that the most difficult people in your life turn out to be your greatest teachers. I joke with friends from time to time that considering the people in my life, I’m sure to be a genius someday. I joke, but I still earnestly look for the lessons.
