10 Ways to Naturally Boost Your Mood

10 Ways to Naturally Boost Your Mood

7.  Have lunch with a high vibration friend – Reaching out to other people is another great way to improve your mood. Just make sure it is someone who generally uplifts you rather than commiserates with you. Have lunch someplace really cool and indulge in some “me” time. You’ll feel so much better!

8.  Rent a funny movie – They say laughter is the best medicine and… they are right! Go get a funny movie and laugh yourself silly or even better – go to a comedy club and giggle the night away. This whole “being a grown up” thing can get awfully serious. Take time to remind yourself to play and lighten up a little.

9.  Give yourself permission to do something you love – Reconnect with something you’ve loved to do but haven’t done in awhile. Do you love to read romance novels or paint pictures? Haven’t gone on a bike ride or had a picnic in ages? Choose something you are really jazzed about and commit to putting it on your schedule today.

10.  Stop resisting it – What you resist persists. The more you beat yourself up for being down (i.e. “What is wrong with me? Why can’t I shake this? I really should be doing x, y, z…”) the longer you will feel down.

The human condition involves regular fluctuations in energy and it is perfectly acceptable to have days where you feel better than others. Just pay attention and look for your way out. Once you get that whiff of where you want to be, grab your chance and head for the high road.

Cheers!
