Once Morbidly Obese, Now Free Fitness Trainer

The process and recovery from the procedure itself is no walk in the park and Anthony managed to super-charge his efforts with continued education, fitness certification and now runs six to 10 miles every day.
His transformation has inspired him to help others facing the physical and emotional challenges of weight loss that few can empathize with as well as Anthony can.Â
At Your Service
For absolutely no fee, Anthony has started a website, hosts weekly support groups, online chats, and conducts one-on-one health and fitness coaching. He hopes to speak for schools and community groups to share his story and spread the news of how healthy eating and exercise can change your life.
Because many find themselves uncomfortable in a gym, Anthony seeks avenues to motivate, train and coordinate health and fitness plans for individuals that they will eventually be able to maintain on their own at home and in the great outdoors.
A Free 5k to Fight Obesity
And speaking of the great outdoors, Anthony and his fiancée Katrina have decided to promote a free 5k walk this Saturday, January 2nd, at Lunken Airport, in Cincinnati’s East side, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Whether you walk a portion or the whole 5k he invites you to bundle up and start your New Year with invigorating air and the company of new friends who share your goal of a better life in 2010. Visit Anthony’s website, http://www.myownweightlossnow.com/ for more information.
The Future
While one day he hopes to use what he’s learned in a hospital or clinical setting as well as write a book about his journey, he’s content to share what he’s learned and experienced to anyone who reaches out to him.
Spurred on by a recent Cincinnati.com article and the call of radio and TV appearances, he wants his past to make a difference for people. And as long as his schedule and resources allow he extends his time, service and acquired skills free of charge.
Anthony explains that when he does leave this earth, he wants those left behind to remember him as a man who did what he could to change the lives of others.
