Emotional Health Can Lead to Physical Healing

There is a holistic revolution taking place that is significantly influencing how the Western medical community views health and disease. Many practitioners now accept that a healthy emotional balance leads to a healthy body. It creates a beautiful circle of giving and receiving: if the body is not well, one’s emotions and mental state are affected accordingly, and if one’s emotional and mental states are out of alignment, one’s physical well being expresses illness and disease. This balancing act can be challenging to obtain when one is living within a society structured on a reductionist methodology, viewing individual parts of the body, such as the liver, heart and lungs, as separate from the emotions that are linked to them, such as anger, abandonment and grieving.
Many people who perceive the two elements of body parts and emotions as separate from each other would tend to say that a person is psychosomatic, which unfortunately contains a derogatory connotation. However, if the word psychosomatic is broken down into its parts, it becomes psyche, meaning mind or soul, and soma, meaning body. With one word, the disparate parts are fused into one whole. Evidence suggests some kind of connection between the two, but this connection has been an anathema in much of Western culture. People’s views, however, are changing.
Scientists now are demonstrating that our physical bodies are influenced by our thoughts, words and feelings. Take, for example, someone who engages in excessive alcohol consumption in an attempt to cope with anger felt toward an abusive parent. This method of managing painful feelings results in damage to the liver. Once the anger is addressed and released then the liver has the opportunity to heal since the alcohol is no longer consumed to mask the pain. If the anger is not acknowledged, and the origin of the anger is not addressed, the physical issues will only progress and worsen as time goes on.
Finding the source, or origin, of physical and emotional issues can be done through many mind-body healing techniques, such as Emotional Polarity Technique (EPT). EPT is an energy psychology and an empowering therapy leading to self-transformation and personal growth. This highly effective emotional health technology is designed to gently eliminate, or minimize, both physical and emotional issues. It transforms the human biofield and removes negative emotional patterns that precipitate problems.
One’s physical body can store thoughts, words, feelings and emotions as information within one’s cells. Our bodies tend to deal with stressful issues by storing the negative emotions in the cells of our organs and muscles, which can lead to different types of unhealthy responses. EPT offers a way for people to gain an understanding of why certain reactions are triggered and why patterns of response are repeated in similar situations.
EPT includes three major interacting systems: pathways such as meridians and related acupoints, centers (chakras), and the biofield which includes the aura and electromagnetic field. EPT embraces all three interactive energy systems for a holistic approach to healing. During an EPT appointment the issue is found by locating its origin, through kinesiology (muscle testing), and deductive reasoning. Then through the use of magnets, a balancing technique is applied to adjust the brain, body and biofield. This is done while the origin of the issue is at a conscious level. Then by using forgiveness, the issue is released which allows each person to let go of the issues which no longer serves them.
This integrated physical/emotional release therapy, unlike anything else I have tried. EPT works to untangle hidden fears, sadness, trauma that impacts your life. It allows for acknowledgement, forgiveness, gratitude and release of that which no longer serves you.

I want to thank healthyalterego for this article. It has started me on a road to change that I couldn’t have otherwise imagined.
I’m an engineer, and I have to admit that when I first read this article, particularly this sentence: “One’s physical body can store thoughts, words, feelings and emotions as information within one’s cells. ” I was REALLY skeptical. I mean, I may not be from Missouri, but show me!
Well, Dr. Candice Pert, author of “Molecules of Emotion” (suggested reading on the Holistic Connections website) did just that.
Dr. Pert is the researcher who discovered the opiate receptor in the brain back in the 1970′s; no small feat, and she went on to discover more receptors and their associated chemicals.
Research has found that chemicals once thought to be only found in the brain that are believed to play a role in storing information actually exist throughout the body! Suddenly phrases like “I have a gut feeling” or “she’s worrying herself sick” take on a whole new dimension.
I’ve been seeing Andrea for four weeks now. I can vouch for her statement (on the website) that most people feel better after the very first session, and I can tell you I feel considerably happier and healthier today than I did the first day I walked into her office, and we’ve only begun. My next appointment is Tuesday. I’m looking forward to it.
I was recently privileged to be present with Andrea in a “Working Group” in the Indianapolis area (2011). I knew of her and that she was doing this work with Holistic Energy Psychology, and specifically Emotional Polarity Technique. After watching and experiencing her in action, however, one cannot adequately explain in words the transformative mechanics she brings to the table as an Advanced EPT Practitioner and the energy flow and surges that accompany her work in a powerful way. There is truly a “scaffolding” of EPT that provides for rooting out personal issues through the use of Kinesiology (muscle-testing), and going on through deductive dialogue to search out Original-Conditioning-Events in a client’s life to expose the Limiting or negative belief systems and negative emotions that one may be still be unconsciously responding to or carrying in their current life. But it is also quite accurate to acknowledge that as well as there being a skill involved, there is also an ART to what she does supported by a weath of ever-growing research and knowledge (such as Dr. Bruce Lipton – cellular biologist, and many others) that makes her particular work dynamic and immediately effective. Why drag along all that useless “baggage” in your life? Rather— identify it, forgive and release it for the freedom that brings! Life is good! Rock on Andrea!!
